Disconnected circuits

One of the characteristics of the series connection of modules is that if one element of the circuit is in open circuit, then the whole circuit is off. As a consequence, no current is produced and production losses occur. These losses increase dramatically if the disconnection happens at the inverter level rather than at the string level. During the site inspections it was found that several strings were not connected to the system due to several reasons such as broken or open connectors, damaged cables or missing fixation of the cables to the connecting bars.
