Inverter clipping

Inverters are designed to operate at certain ranges of DC and AC voltages. In cases when the amount of modules in series or the DC/AC overbuilt are not properly selected, disruptions may occur. This happens for instance when the maximum DC current limits are exceeded or the operating DC voltage is outside the inverter’s MPP range. Under these circumstances, the inverter reduces the output power leading to performance losses.
